Things to do in Bariloche

Climb Cerro Campanario

A classic from Bariloche. The most traditional option is the ascent by chairlift, which takes 7 minutes to the top. For the more adventurous, there is also the possibility of climbing on foot (it takes about half an hour and is of low difficulty).

Once you reach the summit, prepare the camera to take a wonderful pic, and then another one, and another one. From there you get the best views of the Nahuel Huapi and Moreno lakes, the El Trébol lagoon, the Otto and Cathedral hills, the famous Llao Llao hotel and the trees of Colonia Suiza, among other sceneries. In addition, you can sit down and enjoy having a coffee, as we like to do here.

Navigation on Lake Nahuel Huapi

It is the lake par excellence in Bariloche and, perhaps, the most recognized in all of Patagonia. Getting to the lake and contemplating it is an experience that every traveler should have at least once in their lifetime.

A traditional walk is that of Puerto Blest and Cascada de los Cántaros. It is a half-day or full-day tour, departing from Puerto Pañuelo, on the Llao Llao peninsula. Once in these magical waters, you pass by Centinela Island –where Perito Francisco Pascasio Moreno, an iconic figure of the National Parks of Argentina rests-, the Cascada de los Cántaros and finally Puerto Blest, a place much photographed and sought after by tourists.

Another very typical stroll is to leave Puerto Pañuelo to visit Victoria Island and the incredible Myrtle Forest (don't forget to take a photo in the "Disney house"!)

All year round. It is always recommended that you wear a coat.
