The Patagonia, remote and mysterious, and the North, sunny and colorful. The forest, the desert, the highest peak in the Americas and the End of the World; different personality and character traits have settled in these landscapes and climates. Warm, fun, outgoing, friendly, passionate. These are some of the words used to describe the way we are.

It is part of our essence to be a country with open doors that hosted thousands of immigrants who chose to settle down at the South end of the South Hemisphere. And that also gives a warm welcome to world travelers and tourists.

Welcome to Argentina

The Argentine Republic, one of the longest countries worldwide -3,800 km long – and the eighth largest country, with an area of 3.8 million km, is located at the Southern end of the Southern Hemisphere, between the Andes mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, specifically from parallel 22nd to 55th South, and is bordered by five countries.


It is formed by six tourism regions and politically divided into 24 provinces.

CLIMATE
Argentina’s pleasant climate turns it into a destination to be visited, enjoyed and explored all year round. Located in the Southern Hemisphere, it has four clearly defined seasons and each has its own charm and typical colors. Summer is the ideal time of the year to visit the beaches on the Atlantic Ocean, the lakes and mountains in the Patagonia, the vineyards in the harvest season or the glaciers. Winter is the perfect time to go North, which offers colorful and stunning landscapes, and to enjoy snow and mountain sports in the Andes region. Spring and fall invite travelers to visit Buenos Aires, which offers its jacaranda, linden and other flowering trees, or to travel to must-see destinations such as the Iguazú Falls, the Esteros del Iberá or the mountains in the center region of our country.

GEOGRAPHY
Plains, forests, woods, hills, deserts and mountains. Argentina is a territory that offers diversity and contrasts, and surprises visitors with its varied geography. A considerable part of our territory is made up of a very fertile plain land, the famous Argentine Pampa. To the West, the Andes cross the country from North to South and have its peak, the Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the whole continent, which reaches 6,960.8 meters, in the province of Mendoza, In the center of the country, there are hills and, in the East, a vast region by the Atlantic Ocean (Litoral). Considered one of the countries that offers the greatest diversity worldwide, many of its natural sites are protected as natural reserves and national parks and have even been recognized as World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO.

Argentina is bordered by Bolivia, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile.
